Exploring the Petbiome Report

Service Description

Each dog has a highly individual microbiome, and though there are core components contained in the report linking to the good health of all dogs, the data and profiles for your pet remain highly individual, however, due to the complexity of the data produced and the relationships between the bacteria and the physiology of your pet, it isn't always possible to include all the relevant information. Examples include- 1. Discomfort arising from a dietary change, the most common being a change from a dried food diet to raw feeding or to a plant- based diet, producing a temporary over proliferation or bloom or biofilm bacteria. 2. Puppy illness such as giardia, causes long-term alterations to the microbiome making it unstable and prone to the production of lactic acid and discomfort. 3. Dysbiosis- linked to allergies and food sensitivities, these will be included in the veterinary summary but many owners benefit from further details and discussion.
